PrairieTales Cloth Diapers Review & Giveaway

*THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED*

I love finding new cloth diaper brands to try on my baby. I recently discovered a fantastic WAHM based business called "Prairie Tales". Prairie Tales offers their own line of cloth diapers, doublers, wetbags, and pail liners. All their items are made in the USA with attention to detail and made with quality materials.

Meet the Owner and Creator of Prairie Tales:

"Loralee is a the owner of Prairie Tales, LLC. She is married and has two boys and a little girl. They have a small ranch with horses on the open plains of Kansas where country living and down home values are a life style. Loralee is an artist by talent who paints, draws, designs, knits and sews. The advent of her first child brought on a passion for attached parenting and cloth diapers... and above all, finding the perfect fit! This search led to the designing of her own Prairie Tales pattern."

My Experience with Prairie Tales:

I was given the opportunity to try out 2 of these wonderful pocket diapers. I chose a size medium in their "Chocolate Chip" color and a size medium in "Elephant" print. From the moment I opened the package I could tell I was going to love these diapers. These diapers are quality made. Nice tight stitching and very well put together. They fit my son perfectly. They are trim fitting, easy to use and the snap system on these diapers is so simple. I would compare the snap layout to the layout on FuzziBunz diapers (which I like). No fussing to get a good fit with Prairie Tales snaps.

Chocolate Chip Diaper, isn't it cute?

Elephant Print, so stylish!

How Did They Function?

Marvelous! No leaks whatsoever.
I always test out diapers during naps, night time, and regular everyday use. You can be confident with these diapers that they will function as they should.

More Reasons You'll Love these Diapers:

  • Made from 2 mil laminated barrier fabric, with reinforced socket settings. No ripping out snaps when it comes time to change!

  • Design allows for adjustment of waist and leg separately.
  • Soft wicking microfleece lining
  • Hidden sockets for comfort
  • Unique opening in the back makes the diapers very trim and keeps the insert in place.

  • Contoured, 3 layer, absorbent microfiber insert
  • Leg gussets to help keep messes in
  • Many great colors to choose from. Prints available too.
  • Prairie Tales Pocket Diapers come in size X-Small, Small, Medium, and Large. You'll be sure to find the perfect fit!

Now, don't you want to own some of these awesome diapers for your baby? Here's how you can....

I love this whole concept as I have often wondered if the diapers got totally clean-- so with the pocket concept you remove the insert, and toss both the diaper and insert in the washing machine for washing, everything gets washed better, and more efficiently.I am so liking this!!!

OMGOSH!!! I'm so excited because I'm a Kansas girl and we live near Wichita, so with prior arrangements I can arrange to pick my diapers up with no extra shipping costs! I had NO idea there was such an awesome CD being made so close. Now I'm curious just how close she is to me! :o)

Went on the website and learned that their diapers went under almost a year of testing and designing. I also learned that if you use distilled water in the wipes solution, it will stay good indefinitely!

I read that you can put tea tree oil directly in the wash, I didn't know that! I'll have to try it.

One thing that I like about these diapers is that the prints don't cost a lot more than the solids. Most other brands do cost more for the cute prints!

This is what I learned:
Over 92% of all disposable diapers end up in a landfill. No one knows exactly how long it takes for a disposable diaper to decompose, but it is estimated to be about 250-500 years.

Great site- lots to learn, but i learned what a wet bag is. This sounds silly, but I've never used one. I keep seeing them on web pages, and knew their basic function, but i didnt know that they are made with a heavy duty waterproof material on the inside and cotton on the outside.
