You are probably noticing my background has changed. My old background which I had gotten free from Hot Bliggity Blog is no longer available. Thanks to Katie the blog designer I am working with, I now have a temporary background to use until my makeover is ready. I didn't want my blog to be bare for the next few weeks. So anyway....this will do until then. I am excited for my new blog design and can't wait to reveal it to you all in the coming weeks.

My GreenPan Experience:
I love to cook, but after 10 years of daily use my pots and pans have become warn and no longer function well. Not to mention most of my cookware contain the harmful PTFE coating! When I was given the opportunity to try one of the cookware pieces from GreenPan, I was thrilled! I was sent their 8 Qt covered stock pot from their Paris GreenPan series for review.
First off, I have to say I absolutely LOVE this pot! The quality surpassed anything I imagined. The Thermolon non-stick inner creates an ideal cooking surface. Nothing sticks to this pot! Of all my pots and pans my GreenPan stock pot is the easiest to clean. The smooth interior cleans up quick and perfectly without any effort.

My Experience:
I have been incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to work with Kitchen Specialties and Granary on this review. I love supporting family run businesses and the Yoder family is a God fearing, homeschooling family like mine.
I never thought much about baking my family's own home baked bread until a couple years ago when my husband was diagnosed with numerous food allergies. One of these allergies was corn. I did not realize how many of the foods we eat contain corn until I started reading ingredient labels. Corn is in everything!
With these allergies came a change in my family's eating habits. We had to change so many of the foods we ate. Bread was at the top of the list. No longer could we get away with buying common bread that is sold at the grocery store. We had to pay as much as $4.00 a loaf for bread that did not contain corn. I quickly realized that this was not an affordable option.
Did you know that you can make your own wholesome organic bread for as little as $1.00 per loaf! And your own bread will be superior in nutrition to anything you can buy in a store. Between breakfast toast and sandwiches our family consumes approximately 1 loaf of bread per day. If you normally purchase bread at $2.00 per loaf, that is still a 50% savings! As a busy mom to 2 home-schooled children and 2 babies finding the time to make bread by hand was not easy to do. It can be quite time consuming. I knew I needed something to make my bread making quick and easy. I began searching for something that would allow me to bake in large quantities without creating added work. The Bosch Universal Mixer was exactly what I had been searching for.

To make bread using the Bosch Universal Plus Mixer all you need is flour (I use 100% Whole Wheat), warm water, honey, yeast, salt, dough enhancer, oil (I like coconut oil), and vital wheat gluten. No additives, corn syrup, sugar, or preservatives! Nothing but the best! Inexpensive and easy! Problems with Gluten? Kitchen Specialties and Granary sells Gluten Free bread mixes, the bread mix can be mixed in the Bosch and you can have in it in and out of the oven in 45- 50 min.
Once you have added all the ingredients and half the flour into the mixing bowl, mix the dough on the lowest setting for 4-6 minutes adding the remaining flour. The dough will start to pull away from the sides when it is ready. It is amazing how effortless the Bosch mixes even when loaded up with 15 cups of flour, 6 cups of water, and all the other ingredients. Not having to knead my own dough makes me smile every time!
I let my bread dough rise once in the bowl, punch it down and then separate into 6 loaves and place in pans for a second rise. A second rise in not necessary, I have been playing around a bit trying to get the perfect rise. Next time I bake bread I am going to only rise once to compare the differences. Either way, you will end up with delicious bread that your whole family will love!

The Bosch blender is an attachment you can purchase separately to use in combination with your Bosch Mixer. It can hold 6 cups and with speeds up to 13,000 RPM's, it is perfect for blending whole fruits and cracking grain. It has a built in funnel that allows for adding liquids without removing the lid. The blender locks into the mixer base and the same speed control knob you use for your mixer controls the blender. I have been using the Bosch blender for making my family's smoothies, homemade popsicles, and for blending homemade baby food.
I have requested the Bosch food processor attachment for my birthday. My food processor broke several months back and I have sorely missed having one. I am excited to try all the Bosch attachments as they will save all sorts of room on my counter top.

What a Housewife Looks Like
According to Dreamstime stock photos a housewife is....
Grumpy
Has a crazed look in her eyes
A little insane
Hates herself and her life
Abuses her husband
Stays in her jammies all hours of the day
Is ready to kill anyone who does not obey her commands
Has some nasty habits
Basically she MUST be crazy to stay at home, right?WRONG!!!! This is not at all what a housewife looks like. A housewife who truly feels called to her duties at home is glad for each new day. She takes great pleasure in caring for her family. She loves her husband and although thoughts of hitting him over the head with a fry pan may cross her mind from time to time...she controls herself. Instead she bakes him a cake and serves it with a smile. She loves her children and her life. She wears normal clothes and has her hair styled before noon (most days). She cares about her health and refrains from any harmful substances. She is happy and feels blessed to be at home for she knows her job is an important one!
