Summer Survival Guide- Eureka! Northern Breeze Shade Tent Review and Giveaway!

With the weather warming up and summer on the way it is time for those outdoor picnics and family camping trips! My family loves to do these things, but one thing we do not like is trying to enjoy the outdoors with pesky bugs and or unpredictable weather. Having a safe haven for the family to congregate is a must!

Eureka! has been around for over 100 years and has become a trusted name among outdoor enthusiasts. Families all over the globe have come to love and appreciate the quality and design of Eureka outdoor products.

Did you know, Eureka! offers a wide selection of outdoor shelters? Everything from portable canopies, screen houses to beach side cabanas! I was lucky enough to try one of their best selling screened shelters...the Northern Breeze Tent.

My husband and I have been looking for a screen tent that would hold up to the climate in our area. Not only is it sunny most of the year here in the high dessert, but winds can pick up making outdoor gatherings down right miserable. We have been quite pleased with the quality of the Northern Breeze Tent. It is made of UV resistant 150D StormShield polyester splash cloth making it extremely durable and has an aluminum frame for better performance in wind and rain. It contains 4 built-in wind/rain curtains on all 4 sides that double as awnings when extra space is needed (comes with one set of awning poles).


Set up for this tent is quick with hub, ring and pin assembly. I must tell you, It is not an instant pop up tent. Set up will require a couple sets of hands, but it is quite simple.

The 4 aluminum poles connect and cross in the center creating a large square. Once poles are connected all you need to do is snap the tent in place using the clips to secure. After this step is completed, stake down and enjoy your 12x12 shaded area!

Walls are made of quality 50D polyester no-see-um mesh. Seems dark from the outside, but inside is nice and comfortable. Not too bright and not too dark (see picture below).

Once the shade tent was assembled we lifted it over a picnic table. This worked out great for our family picnic. It was actually quite windy where we were at, but we were able to eat comfortably. I couldn't have said this had we not had the Northern Breeze Tent. We would have gone home.

The Northern Breeze Tent also comes with carrying case for easy storage.

Summertime should be enjoyed to the fullest! Don't let bad weather keep you from enjoying the great outdoors!
