Being a Colorado native I have always taken for granted the beauty that surrounds me. However, when I met my husband 13 years ago he opened my eyes to what I was missing! Being an outdoor enthusiast and avid hiker he got me out on the trails even when I wasn't thrilled to go. Now that we have 4 children exploring the outdoors together has become a favorite family pastime!

One of my all time favorite Kelty products is their child carrier. When my husband and I had our first son more than 10 years ago, one of the first gifts we received was a Kelty child carrier! My husband LOVED using this with our son. After our son grew to big for the carrier, we passed it on to a friend. Now that we have added 2 more little ones to our family, an outdoor child carrier was once again needed. I was delighted when Kelty offered me their best carrier for review!

The Kelty FC 3.0 Child Carrier is a top of the line carrier with all the features you could ask for. It contains a 5 point harness system to ensure your child is held safely in place, padded adjustable-height child's seat, auto deploy kickstand for easier removal of child in carrier, no pinch hinges to keep those baby fingers safe, sliding waistband torso-length adjustment with lots of padding for comfort, toy loops, changing pad, sun shade, and oodles of storage pockets!

Here is some of the storage compartments on this carrier. There is also a large under seat storage area for things such as jackets, water bottles, etc. The changing pad even contains pockets for diapers and wipes!

Even though the Kelty FC 3.0 is only 7 lbs. 6 oz. it is made to hold children up to 50 pounds!!! With the adjustable child seating, you can use this carrier from infant to toddlerhood.

Where we live our summers get HOT,HOT, HOT!!! Having proper sun protection for my babies is vitally important, especially on long hikes. We have seen other trail based carriers fail in comparison to the sun protection given on the Kelty. The Kelty sun shade has a superb design! Child is protected from top to bottom and side to side. It also securely straps on the carrier so there is no chance of it shifting or falling off.

There is so many reasons we love this carrier! The quality and design prove great care went into making this product. Outdoor exploration has never been easier or more comfortable!
