Fluff Fest - Drybees and Rocky Mountain Diapers Cloth Diapers Review and Giveaway!!!

One of the challenges of cloth diapering is finding a good overnight cloth diaper. I know it is possible to make most cloth diapers into overnight systems by simply adding extra inserts, however I find this to be incredibly bulky, illfitting and not always successful. I was happy when Drybees offered to send me their Fleece Overnight Cloth Diaper. It is made with Heavy Weight Malden Mills Windpro Fleece that offers excelent protection overnight.

This is a one size overnight cloth diaper. It is unique in it's design because it does not come with a rise adjustment system yet it still functions as a one size cloth diaper. I think this is great for overnight use. At night you don't want to think about what snaps your child is on. Expecially if you happen to be changing your baby at 3am! I really like the snug but gently fit around my sons little thighs.

I haven't had any problems using the Drybees Fleece Overnight cloth diaper and use it as often as possible. Inserts are not provided when you order it but Drybees supplied me with their Fold to Fit insert for the review. My sons diaper was a slightly damp around his legs when I used this insert overnight so I switched to a different insert and didn't have any more problems. For nap time, the Fold to Fit worked beautifully. My son is a very heavy wetter and I am sure that is why I experienced dampness come morning. If your baby is a moderate wetter, I think the Fold to Fit insert would be a great option.

Other features I liked:


It's soft. This diaper sports a milled suede cloth inner made specifically for Drybees. It is incredibly soft and unlike some cloth diapers, it has retained its softness after several washings.

Large pocket. The opening of the pocket for this diaper is quite large. This makes it very easy to stuff which really comes in handy late at night if you have forgotten to pre-stuff it.

Inner and outter elastic. Sometimes inserts like to peak out of the cloth diaper pockets and get things messy. With the elastic on both the outside of the diaper and the pocket opening, this isn't a problem.

Rocky Mountian Diapers cloth diapers are also a one size diaper made right here in the USA. This cloth diaper has a unique rize adjusting system that is modified from an elastic sizing system coined by Heller Max in 1952 (read more about it here ). There are snaps on the elastic inside of the leg seams. It is invisible and easy to use. Initially, I had a little difficulty getting this diaper to function properly but realized it was all user error! You simply have to make sure that the rushing on the leg seam is evenly distributed.

The inside is a soft colored suede that is designed to keep babe's bum dry. It has a trim fit and not having the snaps down the front makes it that much more atractive.

Thinks I liked about this cloth diaper:

Adorable fit. There is just something about the way this cloth diaper fits on my son. It is so adorable! It is the perfect ammount of fluff for his cute little bum.

Gentle elastic. Elastic is often strategically placed on cloth diapers to gaurantee the best fit and protection against leaks. What is great about the elastic on these diapers is they don't leave any marks on my son. I like taking his diaper off and not seeing indentations on his little thighs and back.

Fade resistant fabric. I haven't used these cloth diapers long enough to know for sure how fade resisitant they are. However, I have not had any fading as of yet and I have used and washed it many times. I love the deep chocolate color and I am happy to know it will keep its rich coloring.

Both of these cloth diapers have become apart of my regular cloth diapering rotation. I have really enjoyed using them!
