Fluff Fest - Red Barn Nifty Nappy Cloth Diapers Review & Giveaway!!
For those of you who were sad when Nifty Nappy Cloth Diapers closed up shop....do I have great news! Vilate, owner of Nifty Nappy has cottage licensed her diapers and you can now buy them at Red Barn Cloth Diapers! Jeni, owner of Red Barn was one of Vilate's seamstresses back when Nifty Nappy was in business. She learned how to sew these diapers from Vilate first hand and produces the same quality and design you have grown to love.I am honored to be the very first blogger to review for Red Barn Cloth Diapers. I have enjoyed working with Vilate over the past 2 years and was excited to include the new Red Barn Nifty Nappy diapers in Fluff Fest!
I was sent 2 different types of fitted cloth diapers, the Heavy Doody and the classic fitted. Both diapers are made alike except the Heavy Doody is built for super soaker babies or as an overnight diaper. Both diapers are for babies 7-35 lbs and have overlapping front snaps for a custom fit. These diapers both come with a lay in insert. They also require a cover. I suggest pairing with a Woolie Wrap for the ultimate leak proof diaper system!Nifty Nappy Heavy Dooty
The Nifty Nappy Heavy Dooty Diaper gives double the absorbency as the regular Nifty Nappy fitted, but is still amazingly trim. It is made with 2 layers of organic Hemp fleece with a super soft inner layer of microfleece. The lay in insert is 2 sided and made of organic hemp fleece and organic bamboo velour. I love the red snaps and stitching on this natural diaper. It really gives it pizzazz!
Next we have the Nifty Nappy fitted. This diaper is your everyday diaper. It is absorbent enough for daytime as well as naps. It can be used at night, but you may want to add an extra insert. Made with cotton knit in an array of adorable prints with a sandwhich layer of organic hemp fleece and an inner layer of microfleece. Super soft, durable, easy to wash and use! Great all around diaper.

Boy do I love the cuteness of this diaper!
I think the pictures speak for themselves with this one.

Fluff Fest - Itti Bitti Cloth Diaper Review and Giveaway!!!
Originating in Australia, Itti Bitti sells their cloth diapers in 25 countries and is now bringing their incredibly popular and award winning cloth diapers to the U.S. After their many loyal customers requested a one size cloth diaper, they spent over a year devoloping a trim, leak resistant, infant to potty cloth diaper called the Bitti Tutto. As you can see in the pictures, this cloth diaper will fit a wide range of babies.
![]() |
| This cloth diaper fits an 8 pound infant to a 44 pound toddler! |
When I first received this diaper I was a little intimidated. I had never seen inserts shaped this way, nor had I ever seen inserts with so many snaps and pieces. I immediately thought, "Uh oh...". Then as I began to examine this diaper closer I saw that it is not so complicated as it seemed. In fact, this diaper is actually quite simple. The snaps are color coded so you know exactly which pieces go where. I really liked that I could add extra layers that would stay put and not move around. There are several layers of abosorbant cloth that amazingly do not add bulk to the diaper.
To combat those unpleasant poo explosions that make us wonder why we ever chose cloth, they created what they have called the "poo fence". This is a full inner gusset that really prevents those icky leaks. I am a huge fan of double leg gussets so when I saw a daiper fully gusseted I was happy girl!
The outter shell is covered in an incredibly soft and water proof minky. Since all of the inserts can be snapped in and out easily, the outter shell is also reusable as long as your baby has not soiled it. Cloth diapers are already saving money , when you have a reusable cloth diaper you are saving even more. I don't know about you, but thats a huge bonus for me!
Things I liked about this diaper:
Color. We all know that the color/print of your babes diapers is the fun part of choosing cloth. The color on this diaper was vibrant and bold. I wanted to show it off as much as I like showing off some of my super cute prints. Not only did I want to show off the color, but I had to restrain myself from telling all my friends to feel his diaper. This is trully one of the softest minky's I've had the opportunity to touch. To see some of their other solids and prints, click here.
Great fit. This diaper has a really great fit. There are several size options as well as hidden hip snaps to gaurantee the perfect fit for your child. I was surprised at how trim this diaper was. My son is 18 weeks and with cloth diapers normally fits in his 6 month clothes. I was able to put him in some of his very cute 3-6 month sized clothing.
Absorbancy. The many layers of fabric offer excelent absorbancy. You can customize the ammount you need by adding or removing inserts. With excelent absorbancy it makes reusing the shell possible. I really liked that even with all the inserts it still still a trim fitting one size cloth diaper.
Itti Bitti is an internationally loved cloth diaper company. After trying the Bitti Tutto I can see why! Quality, efficiency and long term use make this diaper a great investment. Two thumbs up from me!
BUY IT- You can purchase the Bitti Tutto, Bitti d'lish and Bitti Boo cloth diapers as well as luxury wetbags and changemats, ultimate wipes and even blankets made from that incredibly soft minky on their website! Click here.

Fluff Fest- Cloth Diaper Mama, Michelle

Meet Michelle, cloth diaper mama with 4 children....
Name: Michelle
Children: Buddy - 6, Sweetie - 5, Lovebug - 2, Peanut - 10 months
Occupation: homemaker
How long have you been cloth diapering? 2 1/2 years I started when my 3rd was 4 months old and now we are working at potty training him. I have cloth diapered Peanut from when she was a newborn.
How did you get started cloth diapering? I like to find ways to save money and avoid trips to the store with all my kids. When I saw pictures of a friend's baby in cloth diapers, I saw how different they were from when I was a baby (pins and plastic pants) and thought that would be a great way to save money and one less thing I would need to run to the store for. I asked my friend for some recommendations, tried out a few, and haven't looked back! :)

What is your favorite diaper brand and style? Bum-Ware Extreme AIO
What is in your diaper stash?I have huge variety in my stash, from flats to pockets, to AIOs and AI2s. They only thing I haven't tried yet are fitteds.
Tell us your funniest cloth diaper moment: When my hubby put a diaper on backwards!
Is your husband supportive of your choice to cloth diaper? He is as long as he doesn't have to change too many of them ;)
What type of comments do you receive from friends/family/strangers about your cloth diapering decision? They are amazed at how easy they are compared to the pins and plastic pants everyone thinks of when thinking of cloth diapers.
Tell us a bit about yourself: I am so blessed to be livng the life I love. I have been married to my best friend Mark for 10 years and we have 4 beautiful children. We own a dairy farm and creamery with my parents (www.twinbrookcreamery.com) and love being able to raise our kids on the farm. I homeschool our kids, love reading, baking from scratch, growing and preserving as much of our food as I can, and trying to fit in some crocheting when I find time, but my number one priority is raising my children to know and love their Savior, Jesus!

Fluff Fest - Under The Nile Training Pants Review and $15 Ecomom Gift Certificate Giveaway!!
One of my most favorite online stores is ecomom! Not only does ecomom offer a wonderful selection of eco-friendly products for the whole family, but also has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced! A few months ago I made a pretty big order on their site and within the same day I received an email saying my items were being packed and ready to ship. Not only this, one of the items I ordered was on back order and one of their personal customer service representatives called me to tell me this! Very impressive.I am proud to not only be a personal customer of ecomom, but also one of their review bloggers. I love spreading the word about this great company! They truly care about the quality of products being sold to their customers. Each item goes through some pretty intensive testing to ensure it is the safest, healthiest products for our families. You can read more about it here.

Yes, he has to have his blanket even when going potty!
Since we are in the midst of potty training our 3 year old toddler son Little E, I thought this time around I would try out some of the cloth training pants ecomom offers. These 100% organic cotton training pants are by Under the Nile and are made in Egypt. Super soft to the touch and extra absorbent with 2 layers of terry liner in the middle. I love the adorable monkey print!

Front and Back view
These trainers give a nice fit, but are easy for my son to pull up and down. I especially like how the extra padded inner goes all the way up the back of the underwear. Great for accidents! With these trainers I don't have to worry about puddles on the floor. They are very absorbent.
Although having the right training pants won't get your child potty trained, it sure makes the training process that much easier! Two thumbs up for the Under the Nile Trainers! This mama is pleased.
BUY IT- You can purchase the Under the Nile organic cotton training pants at Ecomom for $13.00 (prints) and $11.00 (white). FREE SHIPPING on any order (no min. purchase) for a limited time! Go shop, here.

Fluff Fest - Tinkle Traps Cloth Diaper Review and Giveaway!!
Tinkle Traps is an awesome WAHM business that sells a variety of fitted cloth diapers including Prefold Conversions, Custom Prefold Fitteds, Custom Side Snapping Fitteds, even Cloth Diaper Repair and Custom Embroidery. If you are a prefold mama or a mama who would use prefolds if only they had wings, then Prefold Conversions are for you! There are several options for you to choose from when converting your prefolds. You can get a custom rise, a doubler and even add snaps or velcro just to name a few options! They will also attach a print to the outside if you wish. Pretty neat, huh?
I was sent one premium prefold fitted and one side snap fitted to try out. The prefold fitted definitely makes using a prefold easy! You put it on like a normal cloth diaper and either snap it or pin it depending on the closure option you've chosen.
Despite the fact that this cloth diaper is a little big for my son at the moment, I still really liked how it fit. I also like that even with a cover on is trim fitting. Tinkle Traps offers this diaper in newborn up through toddler and for as low as $7 per diaper, this is a very affordable option!
Things I liked about this cloth diaper:
Inserts and doublers. The main reason I don't normally use prefolds is because my son is a heavy wetter. They just don't hold up. The insert/doubler sewn into this prefold fitted really helped with that problem.
Versatility. I have used this cloth diaper both as a regular prefold and as the fitted cloth diaper that it is. The reason I like this is because sometimes I can't find my Snappi and when your in the middle of changing a diaper you can't really go searching through the house. This is nice because even when you don't have your closing device, you can still use it effectively.
The side snapping fitted is my absolute favorite fitted cloth diaper I have used so far! Until I tried this diaper I wasn't aware that fitteds could work this well! The fit of this diaper is great. Instead of the leg elastic fitting lower on my sons legs like my others, these are cut higher. The result is a perfect fit that prevents markings and leaks.
I had never used a side snapping cloth diaper before and I am pleasantly surprised at how much I like them. I really liked the way the cloth diaper doesn't smoosh at my sons tummy while he's sitting up. This is normally unavoidable with my other cloth diaper and looks so uncomfortable.
Things I liked about this cloth diaper:
Absorbent. This is the perfect fitted cloth diaper for heavy wetters. It is incredibly absorbent! There are 2 sewn-in inserts as well as the extra thick padding in the diaper itself. When I am in the house I don't even put on a cover.
Sewn in inserts. What a convenience! I don't have to do any extra work with this cloth diaper. No snapping in or making sure that the insert doesn't move around too much.. Just put it on and your ready to go! Messing with inserts isn't a big deal, but it is always nice when you have a diaper that saves you time.
Tinkle Traps cloth diapers are some of the highest quality diapers I've tried so far. If you are a prefold user I would highly recommend you try her conversions or prefold fitteds. If your not into prefolds, thats ok because as I said, her regular fitteds are fantastic too! Tinkle Traps also offers excellent customer service so if you have any questions or concerns before or after ordering your diapers, you will get prompt and helpful responses. Two thumbs up from me!
BUY IT- You can purchase the many different fitted cloth diapers, accessories, prefold conversions and cloth diaper repair on Tinkle Traps website. Be sure to check out which items are on sale! Click here.
WIN IT- Tinkle Traps is giving one Happily Domestic reader a Premium Prefold Fitted and a Side Snapping Fitted!!! This is a $23 value!!!
