Oh Baby! Extravaganza - BellaBlu Maternity BirthingGown Review & Giveaway!

While making plans for labor and delivery of my fifth child I decided I would like to forgo the faded pink floral hospital gown that I had been given to wear at the hospital for my previous four births. I did some research on designer hospital gowns and was excited to find BellaBlu Maternity online and browse their many maternity hospital delivery gowns. They offer several styles, some even have matching robes available. 

I was even more thrilled when BellaBlu Maternity offered to send me a BirthingGown for review! Talk about an upgrade from the potato sack that I had worn each visit for the past decade. The BirthingGown was created by a labor and delivery nurse and is made of soft jersey cotton. The colors are trendy and I think will be more flattering in photos than the "gown" the hospital would supply.

I love the wrap design, it will fit sizes 2-14 and easily adjusts with the sash that comes around the empire waist. It is a flattering fit and also makes it easily accessible for anesthesia if you would need to get to the back. 

It is easy to slip on and tie and offers good coverage all around. There is no slit down the back, so walking the halls would not be a problem.

I find it very easy to move in the BirthingGown, it would be comfortable for walking, squatting, sitting on birthing ball, or even just resting in bed.

I appreciate the Velcro at the shoulder straps that allow it to come apart for breastfeeding. I was concerned that it might be scratchy, but find it to be unnoticeable and soft.

I was also glad to hear that BirthingGowns are designed and produced in the U.S. It is available in a variety of color combinations, I love the coco with blue trim!

I have worn this gown during pregnancy and can also see myself using it beyond my baby's birthday. It is very soft, comfortable, and a great nursing gown.
