Oh Baby! Extravaganza - KidCo Pea Pod Review and Giveaway!!!

We are a family that absolutely loves the outdoors. I love being active in the summer, spending afternoons and evenings barbecuing with friends or a day out at the lake... Sometimes though, this can be difficult when you have a little one who still needs time to nap. Of course there are pack-n-plays that can be carted around, but sometimes that is too bulky to haul around. That is where the simple, quick and compact Pea Pod comes into play. KidCo is most well known for their reliable child safety gates as well as their child safety products. It is my pleasure to introduce you to the Pea Pod, the indoor/outdoor infant travel bed.

The Pea Pod travel bed comes with the tent, a small blow up mattress and a small, easy to carry  storage bag. The straps are long enough to easily carry on your shoulder if your hands are full. It is compact enough to fit underneath the seat in your car so it can go anywhere you need it to. We were pleasantly surprised when we were able to set it up in just 3 minutes. It was only a couple minutes more to fold it back up and put it in the bag.

One of the features I like about the travel bed is the blow up mattress. It is small, only an inch or 2 thick, but it offers a nice cushioning for your baby. Though you will probably want to include a blanket for your little one to snuggle with, there isn't need for extras to make the travel bed comfortable. It fits underneath in an easy to use zipper pocket, completely out of the way of baby hands.

 Another great feature is the space! It is much bigger than I expected it to be. Our 10 month old son had enough room to crawl a few steps to each end and had 4-5 inches of space above his head when sitting. I can see he will be able to use this for napping for at least another year if not more! Because of it's size, this can be doubled as a little cabana for baby to play in if you are at the beach, park or anywhere else outdoors. If you are worried your little one will crawl out when they wake up, don't, the Pea Pod zips right up. The sides, front and back have ample net windows allowing for proper ventilation so baby doesn't over heat.

This is a simpler, more compact option for parents with active lifestyles. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a compact infant travel bed. Not quite what you your looking for?
