Eco Logical Mineral Sunsreen Review and Giveaway!

I have been learning a lot about the safety of sun screen recently. I have learned that chemical sunscreens can actually do more damage and increase your chances of getting skin cancer, rather then reduce them! That is pretty scary considering we are told to practically bathe in it if you standing by a window, let alone if you're actually going to be going out in the sun. We are working on building our skins natural sun protection by slowly increasing our exposure to UVA/UVB rays, but for those days that we are really going to be out in the sun, I am thrilled to now be using the sunscreen from Eco Logical Skin Care.

Eco Logical Skin Care has received the highest rating from EWG for safest sunscreen. It is a mineral screen and its most active ingredient is zinc. Their Body Sunscreen includes anti oxidant rich grape seed and green tea extracts as well as anti aging Shea and Jojoba Butter, among other great ingredients, to ensure your skin is getting everything it needs to thrive in the sun. I felt the consistency was really nice. In general, mineral sunscreens are a bit oilier then chemical sunscreens. Comparatively speaking Eco Body Sunscreen was not too oily. They use a non whitening zinc to help prevent super white skin after applying. We all look a tiny bit paler but after about 20 minutes you could no longer see any trace of white. That being said, what white was there was barely noticeable.

Eco Baby is absolutely fantastic. The only real difference between it and the Body is that it includes Avocado and Carrot Oil to further nourish and protect the skin. It is a bit thicker, but rubbed on my sons skin really well. It was not too oily and it didn't leave him pale. It is wonderful knowing that I am putting on sunscreen that is truly benefiting his skin!

I have saved my favorite for last. Eco Face is made just for your face. It is make up safe so will protect even after you have applied it. It is absolutely not oily and I didn't experience any kind of break out after using it. My face was a little pale at first but by the time I had finished breakfast and walked out the door it had fully absorbed and was no longer a problem. It is does not clog your pores and is packed with anti oxidants to help fight aging as well as arm your skin with what it needs to protect itself from the sun!

With all the reports surrounding increased skin cancer rates it has become more important then ever to find the best way to protect my family from skin damage. I truly feel the Eco Logical Skin is the best choice I could make for those times when sun screen is necessary. We have used this a few times, including a full day out at the zoo and none of us burned at all. I was most worried about my 1 year old sons sensitive skin and he even get a little pink. With safe ingredients their highest priority, I highly recommend spending the extra few dollars on their sunscreen. You will NOT regret it!

I learned that there is colorless zinc available in sunscreen. My daughter has regular laser treatments on her face due to a birth mark and her skin is really sun sensitive. We are supposed to use a zinc based sunscreen but with her being pink to begin with, the white residue really stands out.
