I would like to share with you some ideas, links, and pictures of how to frugally use lapbooks in your homeschool courses. Homeschool Share is my favorite site thus far. They have a huge list of free lapbooks and they even have them broken down by age ranges. When you are ready to start putting together your own lapbooks they have a great resource for all sorts of printable books, flaps, pockets, etc that will help you be able to create lapbooks for your own units.

Another great way to get started and to help you visualize what you will be doing during a lapbooking unit check out the countless videos on youtube's lapbooking search. And with all the hype of Pinterest this post wouldn't be complete without pointing out the vast number of ideas and free printables that can be found there.

Also, if you pick a topic of study and then visit your local library and use the above links to print your own books, pockets, and flaps then you will be on the road to creating your own lapbooks in no time and with almost no cost.

I am still fairly new to lapbooking but I have already learned that most any unit study can by combined with a lapbook and if you have children who love to cut, glue, color, and create then lapbooking might just be the thing for your family.
Have you tried lapbooking? Would you please share any great resources or ideas that have helped you lapbook on a budget?
