2 Pregnancy Book Reviews And A Great Giveaway!!!

I have had such fun reviewing these 2 books! They are interactive, informative and all around enjoyable to have during pregnancy. I absolutely love how Julie Carr created a way to track and celebrate pregnancy with your loved ones.

Countdown to My Birth daily pregnancy calender by Julie B. CarrThe first book "Countdown To My Birth" is like a pregnancy flip calender for your desk. It has an area where you can write in the dates if you choose and begins with the date of conception. On every page there is a neat little fact that is specific to that date of development. When I took this picture I was 25 weeks and 3 days, my fact was " My spine consists of 33 rings, 150 joints, and 1,000 ligaments. You only have 24 rings, 116 joints and many fwe than 1,000 ligaments." So neat! My husband and I both have enjoyed reading these through out the week.

With my first pregnancy I could tell you how far along I was almost down to the hour (haha). This time around I am chasing around a very active toddler and often forget what week I am in. It is has been such a joy to flip through this little calender count down and imagine what is happening with the baby inside of my belly. One of the things I am really enjoying with this calender is that there are a lot of facts I didn't know. It has made my second pregnancy that much more special. What a great gift for any mother to be!

Did you know that babies actually dream in the womb???
The second book "Making Me: The Pregnancy Activity Book For My Big Brother or Sister" is just as fun! It is filled with activities that you can do with your younger children to help involve them with your growing baby. Like the pregnancy calender, this has an activity or fact for every day of your pregnancy for you to do together. It even comes with a measuring tape so that your kids can help track your growing belly. My little one is a bit too young to do these things at the moment, but I know that next time around we will have so much fun preparing together!

Having your little one pick up a gallon of milk to get a feel for how much baby weighs is such a neat idea!

One of the things I really liked about this is that even though it is directed towards a younger audience, you can easily involve the whole family. It isn't hard at all to see how the small questions, activities or facts could branch into a fun family conversation or project. Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing and I absolutely love sharing it with my family. This is a really great way to involve everyone at different levels and raise the excitement for the upcoming birth.

I would absolutely buy these for any friend that is soon to become a mom. Such a perfect baby shower gift that the whole family can enjoy!
