Modestly Adorned - Whimsey Lane Review and Giveaway!

"Our goal is to carry only quality styles that would allow a person to not have to layer and feel covered and fashion forward at the same time!"

Whimsey Lane Apparel is a fantastic boutique style online shop that sells modest clothing. It began when the owner Julie saw a need for attractive modest apparel. She began with modest swimsuits and as the company expanded she designed the beautiful Ava dress. I was thrilled when the offered to send me one for review. The quality is very sturdy, I have no doubt it will last me a long time. The Ava dress is by far the most versatile dress I have ever worn. It can go from casual to dressy with a change of accessories. It comes in red, black, teal and white and I would love to own one in every color! I am a bustier gal and have a hard time finding shirts and dresses that don't need some kine or layer underneath. The Ava dress actually covers my chest without one! It has a lovely ruffle detail around the neckline and matching ruffles at the elbow. This dress has 3/4 length sleeves which offer even more versatility. It can be worn in midely warm weather and is warm enough for cold weather.

I can't wait to see what Julia designs next! Her Ava dress has become my favorite piece in my wardrobe! Versatile, high quality and completely modest. What more could you ask for? She also sells a variety of other fashionable modest dresses and skirts. Whimsey Lane Apparel gives you the shopping experience you love with the coverage you need!

BUY IT!  You can buy your own Ava Dress at the Whimsey Lane Apparel store. It comes in black, white and vibrant teal and red! Be sure to sign up for their newsletter for upcoming styles!

WIN IT! Whimsey Lane has offered to give one Happily Domestic reader a Black Midnight Ava Dress of their own!  This is a $60 value! See the Raffelcopter below to enter!

I learned (and like) that you can exchange for a different size or whatnot for 30 days.

I think I would change up my dress with some of my new Lia Sophia jewelry. I have some really pretty blue items that would look great with this. On the other hand I have a brown belt that might look nice hugging the waist line.

Such beautiful dresses! The Ava and the Bailey dresses are my favorite. And they're also coming out with a swimsuit line (you can check out their facebook page or their blog to learn more :)

Thanks for doing the giveaway!

To dress up the Ava... I love how it looks with a belt or sash. And it also looks awesome with a flower or bow in your hair to match. It looks super versatile!

Thanks for doing this giveaway!

I learned that Whimsey Lane has eight different dresses in several different colors... Really like the Makailee and Brecken dresses. They're stylish, but look comfortable enough to wear at home. :)

I think I'd pair it with a turquoise sash and pearls. Maybe a scarf from More than Alive.

I love Julia's stuff! I got a belt from her last year and I wear it all the time. I actually bought clothes to wear with the belt instead of the other way around! Glad to see someone else enjoy her work too :)

I love Whimsey Lane. I also love that it all started with a Swim Suit for the quest for a modest, yet chic look. I have also had that problem. I got one of these dresses when I was on my mission in New Caledonia, but due to a cyclone my first month there it was destroyed. I would love another one cause it is so comfy and darling!

I love that it the quest for modesty all started with a swim suit. Haven't we all looked for a darling swim suit that was modest and chic. I am so glad Julia knows how to sew and accomplish such a task.

I love the Ava Dress. I bought the white one when I went on my LDS mission to New Caledonia, but sadly due to a cyclone my first month out, it was destroyed.

I learned that they design swimwear with wider straps, higher necklines and longer tankini tops with maillot cut bottoms.

I have learned that the material is spandex cotton, which sounds lovely. It has such a nice drape to the dress, as well as being chic but modest!

So cool that it started with her looking for a modest swimsuit. I spent a long time looking for one until I decided to find a pattern and sew one myself. All their dresses are so beautiful and modest.
