Safety 1st onBoard 35 Air Infant Seat Review

Today I am pleased to share with you a brand new infant car seat from Safety 1st.  The onBoard 35 Air Infant Car Seat meets all of the new rear facing (until age 2) guidelines meaning it has extended weight limits and leg room to help make this possible. I was sent the onBoard 35 in the Julianne fashion.  It has beautiful fabric and details and offers all of the safety features you have come to love and expect from Safety 1st. Retailing at $159.99 it can be used for children weighing anywhere from 4-35 pounds. I love that the pad is removable and hand washable for those unexpected spills, blow-outs, or spit ups. The fabric is super soft and this seat is very well padded in just the right places for baby. The headrest is great for a newborn and yet is easy to remove as baby grows. And we all know how fast that happens! I am loving everything about this car seat, it is so beautiful and classy!

This infant car seat is part of Safety 1st new Air Protect line that was created to further help keep our children safe while they are riding in a car. Below is a video about the extensive testing that these products go through and even some testimonies from families that have unfortunately seen first hand how this infant car seat holds up in an accident. It is well worth your time to watch!

The onBoard 35 has an easy to read level on the side so you can be sure your child is riding in the right position for their weight. And with a handy adjustable level on the base it is easy to find the right spot for any car.

It also has a great buckle guide and clamp to ensure the seat stays strapped in well and the seat belt stays firmly in place. Once I had buckled the car buckle and tightened it down well, I closed the Belt Lock over it and locked it. I was very pleased with how secure this held the base. I have never felt like these bases were very secure in the vehicles that we drive.  With this base it does. Not. Move. At all!

The sun shade, while not a safety feature, stays in place better than any I have seen before. Many babies don't like the sun in their eyes or the wind in their face.  Since our baby will be using this seat during her first winter, I'm glad this will stay up and offer some protection from the sun, wind, and cold.

The belts are easy to adjust and have many ways to make the fit perfect no matter how your baby is built. The shoulder level straps adjust, the length of the straps is as easy to change (can be done with baby in seat), and you can also adjust the position of the buckle between the baby's legs. All of these straps and adjustments ensure a proper fit for every stage of growth!

I am so excited to use this car seat with our little girl, having the confidence she is riding in a seat that was designed, tested, and approved to be one of the safest on the market! And while no man-made product can offer complete security, I find peace of mind knowing that we are doing all we can, along with Safety 1st to protect our blessing while she is in the car.

BUY IT: The Safety 1st onBoard infant car seat (Julianne style) is available through the Safety 1st website or from Diapers .com at this time.
