This month Mother Goose Time has highlighted a new children’s book in their ‘Me & My Family Curriculum Kit’. This very special book “My Dad the Tuk Tuk Driver”, features a non-profit organization in Cambodia called Asian Hope and one of their students and his father who drivers a Tuk Tuk. A tuk tuk is similar to what we would call a taxi. This adorable book is told through the eyes of the young boy who goes on to tell the story of his father and all the people he sees and the places they go as he drives his tuk tuk every day. This is a fun, light-hearted story that any child or parent would enjoy reading.
After reading this book you will have a brief look into Cambodia and the organization featured in this book. Asian Hope is a non-profit Christian organization that works to protect, educate, and empower children in Cambodia. Through its three formal schools, village development program and continuous community outreach Asian Hope is impacting the lives of young children and their family’s daily by providing an opportunity at an education. For information on the amazing work Asian Hope is doing in Cambodia please visit their website at www.asianhope.org.
