Jump for Joy, It's Christmas Time!

This month Funshine Express has some super fun activities in their Buttercups kit as well as their Monthly Art Pack. This past week we explored jumping.  We learned what is means to jump, how to sign "Jump" and of course....we jumped!

Here is this weeks ASL card and vocabulary card. So cute!

Signing "Jump"
(we are getting ready to move that is why our walls are so bare now)

Each month in the Buttercups curriculum kit you receive 2 sturdy board books. This month "Hop a Little, Jump a Little!" was the book.  This book was so much fun as it gave instructions on how to get moving, stretching, and jumping.

Hop a little, Jump a little,

Bend a little, stretch a little

Run a little, skip a little

There are even notes to a "Hope a Little, Jump a Little" song on the back on the book.

Big brother gladly played the song for Baby N.

While his big brothers did their school work, Baby N enjoyed making his Joyful Shaker.  First he colored a paper cd case with marker, then filled the case with red pebbles, and lastly we taped the ends and added Christmas ribbon.

Shake, Shake, Shake!

In the Monthly Art Pack

The December Art Pack was filled with all sorts of awesome Christmas projects this month.  We have really been enjoying them.  Here the boys are making "Joy" holiday cards.

Little E made his card for his big brother Corban.  I thought that was very sweet of him.

Last weekend we had some good friends over for dinner.  After we ate we had a little craft time with the kids.  They made "Elf Shoes" and "Jingle Bell Sticks" from the Art Pack.

Elf Shoes!

All for one....
and one for all!
Jingle Bell Sticks
(also make great swords!)

After the kids finished up their projects we put on the Music and Movement CD and jammed out to some of the Christmas songs.  These kids are a hoot!
